pip documents havent arrived

hi i applied for pip, and they said my documents havent arrived, it was my birth certificate which i will have to pay to get it again this is looking like a uphill struggle already, when i rang they said someone is waiting to come out to check i'm appointee for my disabled partner then a few days later the letter arrived stating my documents weren't sent in time, unbelievable.

Sorry to hear they said the documents didnt arrive in time, when did you send them in? They do suggest sending copies of important documents, as they cant guarantee they'll be able to send them back to you.1 -
yes i sent them freepost second class on the 30th of july, to be sent by the 19th of august. I thought this might happen i didnt have the money even to send them recorded. I seem to get their letters no problem, wonder if other people are having the same trouble

I’m wondering if the letter you received was sent before the received your documents. If something isn’t received by a certain date the system will automatically generate a reminder letter. It often takes a couple of weeks for documents to be added to the system once they receive it.
In future I’d advise you to get proof of posting from your local post office, which is free. This is proof that you would have sent it to them.
In the meantime I would advise you to contact PIP again to ask if it’s been received.
