ESA Support Group to UC LCWRA
On the 1st august I voluntarily migrated to UC from the ESA support group. I didn't have to give a sick note, and was told payment info would be on the 3rd, payment 7th. Today I was given the payment info and it only includes the standard allowance. Is this normal? I did get two esa payments after my UC application so that might be it?

Any Income Related ESA you were claiming would have continued for 2 weeks after you submitted your claim for UC. I wouldn’t expect any Income Related ESA to continue after those 2 weeks.
If any part of your ESA was contributions based this would have continued but be deducted in full from any UC entitlement.
Your UC should also include the LCWRA element, as well as any deductions.
It can sometimes take quite a few weeks for ESA to send your details across to UC. Put a message into your journal under the payment section and tell them the LCWRA element wasn’t included.

Thanks for the reply. I applied on the 1st and got both payments as normal. It's income related esa. The disability advisor at the jobcenter said on the phone I'd get both payments that month. I see no LCWRA element, so yeah I guess I'll leave a message.

You shouldn't have received 2 payments of Income Related ESA. It only continues to 2 weeks and then it should stop.

I gott a reply on my journal:
a decision maker is looking at the case. Once a decision has been made, you will be notified via your journal.

Best of luck with the decision @James_O 🤞

"The attached document is confirmation that the LCWRA award held on your ESA claim has now been applied to Universal Credit"
So I guess it just took awhile. Good to be put at ease. Strange about the esa payments though, I was definitely told I'd get paid twice by the jobcenter disability specialist.
