in Start here and say hello!

Hi I'm actually writing on behalf of my 23 year old son ,to see if this is a fit for him .He has a mild learning disability is very shy amongst other things and has trouble finding friends and talking to them. he is currently spending a lot of time on his own at home and needs a social outlet other than my wife and I . any help or info would be greatly appreciated .

    Welcome to the community. We have the coffee lounge on the online community and this is a space to have a general conversation. This might be a good place for your son to start.

    Does he have any interests online-maybe gaming? Mindjam is a great community that offer a mentoring service for young people up to the age of 25.

    Welcome, so glad you've reached out! Like my colleague @SaraC_Scope has suggested, MindJam is a great mentoring service for young people.

    Feel free to use this space for yourself too. It's really hard being a parent of a disabled child and I can see how important it is for you to encourage social interactions.. This is a great community to connect with other parents and find ways to support your son :)
