Please can someone inform me of what a Universal Enhanced Review is?
In 2018, my employer and the govt (NHS) put me into Ill Health Retirement. LCWRA as well. I keep studding and aiming to return to work even though I am 50.
Today I recieved notifucation that they want a phone call review with me next week.

Heya @nalec1 an enhanced review is nothing to worry about, they just want to make sure you're recieving the correct amount of money and help. They may ask you for bank statements too. They seem to be happening a fair bit recently, so don't worry, you've done nothing wrong. 😊

Yeah thanks so much for replying, ive been self harming today, im in all sorts of pain because they wouldnt tell me what it was about or what documents i required. I finally rang the DWP UC line on the second ocasdion since yesterday and they were quite nice to me considering of injuries as a consequence to their non action.
The cancelled the appt but I need to speak with team.leader when im feeling better. She said that I hadnt been flaged

Hi @nalec1,
I'm really sorry to hear how tough things have been for you. It sounds like you've been through a lot, especially with the stress from the DWP situation on top of everything else. It’s understandable that you're feeling this way after dealing with all that confusion and lack of clarity. It’s good to hear they were more supportive when you spoke to them this time.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out for support when you're ready—there are people who can help. If you're struggling with self-harm, it’s important to talk to someone, whether it's a close friend, family member, or a helpline like the Samaritans (116 123), or SHOUT (text 85258), both of which are available 24/7.
When you’re feeling up to it, speaking with the team leader might help get things sorted. But for now, take care of yourself and focus on feeling better. You’ve already shown a lot of strength by reaching out, and that’s really important.

Hello Adrian, I would appreciate you trying to reach out to my GP. I am vulnerable under the EqA2010 since 2017 and left largely alone to.find my own way in life. I do not have a family I can count on nor do I have friends that are close by or are well enough in themselves to try and helo me.

Hi Alec. My name is Olivia & I am the deputy team leader for the person that was due to call you on the 12/9/24. He has raised your concerns regarding the appointment & I wanted to give you some more information that may help you understand what we do on the Enhanced Review Team. Firstly, our role is to ensure that the person that made the claim is still the person maintaining the claim. This is due to Universal Credit being an on-line benefit system. To check this, we will ask for you to upload details confirming your identity. This is usually a passport, if you have 1, as this is the best checkable ID.Secondly, we review the claim to ensure what is declared is still relevant & up to date. The system will, sometimes, high-light areas where there is a need for further information, which can vary from customer to customer. Having spoken to the person who was due to call, they have stated that, in your case, nothing has been high-lighted so is a standard check. The response to your original query is due to our instructions as we are unable to disclose too much information as, during a phone call, a customer may give some information that means we may have to request further information to support their statement, which may make any our response incorrect.I have cancelled the appointment booked for the 12/9/2024 as I think it may be beneficial to call you before the appointment is rebooked so that I can ensure you have support from us whilst going through these checks. This will, hopefully, reassure you & reduce your anxiety ahead of the appointment. If this is agreeable to you, please leave a journal message with a time/date you are able to receive my call.RegardsOlivia

Hey there @nalec1 I'm sorry to hear you feel alone, I know how tough that can be. Just know there is support for you out there and indeed on the community. 😊
Did you get the email Adrian sent you? If you wanted to reply to that with the details asked, we can get the ball rolling for you with your GP.
