Hi there new to this so bare with me, I am a wheelchair user so if I go out with my partner I need to have access to a blue badge space if I can’t find one I have to go back home basically, I have noticed the new trend and conversation on social media seems to be that it’s ok to park your big posh cars in blue badge spaces and just pay the fine as it’s cheaper than a repair if dinked, now they seem to be saying the fine is £35 which I’m guessing is nothing to them if they have a big expensive car, I’m wondering if they would think twice if the fine was say£1000 or more? I just wonder what other people feel about this and any experiences they may have had and was wondering about maybe starting a revolution from my wheelchair and maybe looking into the fine being increased. if it is only £35 it May be an idea don’t know? but I do know how infuriating it is to not be able to park when someone without a badge has taken the last space and sadly sees nothing wrong with it Thoughts.

Welcome aboard @Rooney2008 that's a very good question.
I think people can sometimes take advantage of the cheapness of the fines, but I'd like to think 99% of people wouldn't. I know how annoying it can be when all the spaces are taken up though.

A £35 fine sounds low, was it somewhere specific as I think this will be dependent on each local authority. Blue badge spaces aren't even legally enforceable on private land such as supermarket carparks. It's up to private parking companies how much they wish to charge on fines.

The fine should be increased 50 times, and expensive cars should be confiscated and given to disabled people. This is my opinion.
