Hello @dexy and a warm welcome to the community. 🙂

I'm sorry to read how difficult things are for you at the moment.

Once your LCWRA is put into payment you will receive more from UC. Could I just confirm the dates you've shared?

So you began your UC claim on 27th June, did you supply a fit note to them at this time? If not, do you know the date you first supplied one?

Do you have any other children on your claim or the housing element? I'm asking because you should be entitled to a work allowance now LCWRA has been awarded.

    Hello @dexy

If you began your UC claim on 27th June, there will be a full 3 assessment period wait until your LCWRA gets put into payment. So following your 27th September to 26th October period, you should see the LCWRA element in your UC award, which will increase the total by £416.19 per month.

You'll also now be entitled to a work allowance, which is an amount you're allowed to earn without it impacting your Universal Credit. As you don't receive help with housing costs, your work allowance should be £673, so you won't see any deductions to your UC for your SSP.

Thank you very much for replying. I don't know how I will get to October but at least there's some light ahead it's so stressful. You have been a great help thank you x

Was also wondering if I would get any back pay then I could drop my gas electric payment next month for that month to help me out. Thank you x

There won't be any backpay for the LCWRA element, nothing is paid during the waiting period so nothing will be owed once it becomes payable.
