Severe disability premium - homeless

Hello, I have recently become street homeless and I'm seeking all the help I possibly can from my local council and I'm actively looking for private accommodation to. The council refused to give me emergency accommodation as I'm apparently as vulnerable as a normal person on the streets madness ino I have appealed but i must wait until the 29th October for a update! There is some places I can stay however there is no way I can afford these on my own. This got me thinking would I now be entitled to severe disability premium now that I'm no longer living with family? Would I qualify being that I'm now street homeless?
Cheers
Sam

Hi again @sam2992 I'm so sorry to hear you're now homeless and the council is being less than helpful, that can't be helping things. Am I right in thinking you were previously living with your mum?
I'll be popping you an email shortly, so please be on the look out for it.0 -
Hello, @Albus_Scope
Yes the council are being really unhelpful in all honesty my doctors even personally called them and still believe that I'm just as vulnerable as a person without stage 4 avn, severe anxiety and severe depression. Also having a urgent colonoscopy for suspected cancer. Everything has taken a massive toll on me and my health and I'm at breaking point where I feel I'm being pushed into a corner with no way out.
Yes I was living with my mum however she didn't make me homeless because she wanted to she wanted to move away as where we lived was a expensive area so she moved about 300 miles away to a place that's actually affordable and probably so that she can actually live her life abit rather then with her 32 year old son. And when she did leave I was staying on a close friend's sofa again not ideal for my arthritis but I had no choice. However my friend has a 10 year old daughter and could only let me stay for so long for her daughter's sake and her own being she wouldn't want to get in trouble with her letting agent ect. And we both agreed I would get the help I need if I was on the streets. 30 days later and I haven't had any help so that didn't go according to plan.
Thanks very much.
Kind regards
Sam

If I remember correctly, you do need some form of accommodation in order to receive SDP. I don't think it'll be possible for street homeless. Hopefully you can find something soon even if temporary.
