So after accidentally spilling coffee, on my ESA 50 form , I ring up for another one , and asked for a later date to send it back by, which I was informed that I get a new date with the new form , well just the new form arrived today ,with no extension date to send it back, what shall I do ? Worried now as will not get it back by original date set, will they stop my money ?

Hi @bench, are you able to get in touch with them again to ask for an extension?

If you give them a ring to explain what's happened hopefully they can give you a little bit longer to get the new form back 😊

@Rosie_Scope are they likely to extend, read somewhere, they will not on ESA, but will with PIP ?

Hi @bench, I'm afraid I was going off what's usual for other benefits, so I'm sorry if I wasn't correct here. From what I understand, it can be at the discretion of ESA but I can't say for certain whether they'd allow it or not. You could always ring to ask and see what they say?

Is the date much too soon to be able to get it back in time now?

@Rosie_Scope Its not, they want it back by the 1st , but want to see my new doctor and get a letter about my condition to send with it and can't get appointment till the 30th, I know it said don't ask for evidence that you haven't already got, but thought it would help and as they gave me a month to start with was hoping they at least give to the 17 th of next month

Heya @bench unfortunately we finish for the day at 6pm and Rosie isnt in today. So sorry if she hasnt replied. I'd suggest sending what you have now and leave a note saying "More supporting evidence from GP to follow" Then when you have the letter, you can forward it on to the DWP.
