Uc housing

I have been receiving housing benefit from local council for 8 years, now over to uc, it was paid 4 weeks in arrears, so as I got the migration letter to claim uc does my local council owe me the 4 weeks in arrears as in a way it's like myself stopping claiming it from them or does it just continue and the day I stop claiming uc they owe me the 4 weeks thanx
