Travel pay by mile
hi all
I know there is a lot of discussion in media around this issue, but i recieve reduced car tax due to my getting mobility component (flat rate) how would this be managed if it was brought in, my anxiety is high at the minute
Any help would be appreciated

Hey @martymart, I was wondering if you could clarify what you mean if that's okay? I don't believe I've seen much news recently about any car tax changes!
I tried searching just now to see what there was, but all I could find were articles talking about "Labour have plans" but there doesn't appear to be a single article that links to a statement or policy plan from the government to actually implement this.
I think until that happens it's a little speculative and fear-inducing to suggest this is happening! Unfortunately quite common in the media lately.

Sorry did not mean to increase anxiety for people and the information I have seen is on TikTok of which is from Sky news channel
as not on other media platforms

if this happens it will jack up the cost of living yet again with haulage ect be nice to see all the black cabs in london get changed to pony and trap what chaos that would cause
