Yes because it's your partner that claims carers for looking after them. Are you claiming any other benefits, if so which ones exactly please?

As you're also claiming ESA then you will need to tell them that you're working if you do start. It's known as permitted work for this. You can work less than 16 hours per week and earn no more than £183.50/week. You will also need to fill out a PW1 form and return it to them.

    https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/employment-and-support-allowance-permitted-work-form/permitted-work-factsheet

For UC you will need to report the changes if you start working and you do this by reporting a change of circumstances on your journal and then click "work and earnings" and report it there. You and your partner have the work allowance, which means you can receive a certain amount of earnings each week before deductions apply.

If you claim for help with the rent it will be £404/month, if you don't it will be £673/month. For every £1 of earnings you receive over those amounts your UC will reduce by 55p.

I won’t be supported by a support worker for the 10 hours I’m doing?

No, you won't lose ESA if you work 10 hours week and your earnings are less than £183.50/week.

You can ignore the supported permitted work part of that link. You do not need to be supported.

thank you I’ve been really worried because I haven’t worked for 3 years with my back and I’m getting so depressed being stuck home the job I’m doing is home care but they know about my condition and know I can only do a couple of hours here and there and I really don’t even know if I’ll manage to be honest so that’s been my worry what if I try and lose all my sickness money then I only last a month and have to re apply
