I'm a carer getting carers allowance and have just filled fors for migrating to uc
I am on income support and get carers allowance and a little housing benefit .I have just filled out the migrating to uc online and have a ID appointment at job centre I mentioned on the form I am a carer and am unsure if my carers allowance will be stopped or not or whether I need to claim carers element I'm confused with it any advice most welcomed

Your Carers allowance will continue as normal but it will be deducted in full from any UC entitlement. The same rules applied when you were claiming Income Support.
The carers element will be included in your UC because you reported being a carer. Your UC will include, standard allowance, Carers element, housing element and any other elements you maybe entitled to. Then the deduction for carers allowance.
