I've not seen anything official to suggest it is correct or not. It's reverted automatically anyway. They would send a letter to tell you it's changing. All you need to do is agree to your commitments, which would be to report all changes.

@poppy123456 Here is an answer on another forum similar to what contributors to this thread have

been talking about. It suggests that an ESA claimant doesn't wish to migrate to UC or is not eligible for UC ESA is unchanged.

Yes I seen that but that’s not a reliable source. It doesn’t make sense for it to remain as the old contributions based because this can include an income related top up but those disability premiums are ending.

Does reverting to NsESA bother you? All you would need to do is agree to commitments. Everything else is exactly the same.

I have never been on NS ESA so i can't revert to it. I was on IR ESA but gained capital over £16000 and was moved onto CB ESA.

Yes, the prospect of NS ESA does trouble me. The word "commitments" for one. Where my doorbell ring right now i couldn't "commit" to standingup and walking to the door to answer it.

Why do you consider the answer on the B&W forum to be unreliable? Here's another response on the same lines.
