Put in CoC in January but backpay only from July?
hi, I did a coc in January 2024. Was originally on standard daily. Didn’t receive my decision back until June when the rate stayed the same so did an MR which they received in July. I was awarded higher rate daily and standard mobility in September of which the backpay was from July. Shouldn’t this have been from January when I did my coc ?
Thank you

If you had been experiencing the difficulties for at least 3 months when you rang to report the changes then yes It should be from that date.

Hi @gill19, first of all welcome to the Scope community 😊 I'm happy to hear your MR was succesful and you were awarded the higher daily rate and standard mobility.
Poppy is right, you should have received backpay from when you reported the change of circumstances, as long as you'd been experiencing the difficulties for at least 3 months. Were you informed by someone that the backpay would only go back to July?
I will just move this over to our PIP section

Hi Jim, yes my letter states it’s from a date in July. I have no idea why that date
