Do you have access to a laptop or computer with a printer? What I usually do when completing the form is type out my answers and then print them off. I just find this so much easier than writing on the form. You will need to make sure you put your name and NI number on everything you send.

You will need to make sure you put which question the answer refers to. Then on the form you can just put "see additional pages"

If not do you have someone that can write it for you? maybe a family member or a friend?

Failing those then have a look at this link to see what advice agency is local to you.

    https://advicelocal.uk/welfare-benefits

Please also make sure that you treat it as a new claim and give as much relevant information as possible. Even if there's been non changes in your conditions, please do not just write no change and no further information.

You should also include a couple of real world incidents of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you. Adding detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.

You can ask for extra time to return the form and they will give an extra couple of weeks. There are extremely long delays with review decisions so you could be waiting anything up to about a year for a decision. Your existing award will continue until a decision is made on the review.

Hi @kimmilou1774, welcome to the Scope community 😊 Writing everything out is definitely a pain. I am able to write okay but I had to take breaks and my hands were hurting by the end. In future I'll definitely be doing what Poppy says and typing it all up then printing it and attaching it to the form. If you don't have a computer or laptop you could try your nearest library, they should have available computers and printers.

If you don't want to type it up and print it out then you could also try asking at your local Citizen's Advice if they have any advisers or support, or you can also have family write it out for you.

Just going to move this discussion to our PIP category if you've anymore questions about it 🙂
