Anxious about UC and my partner on ESA

Thankyou so much for your advise and help really appreciate it. Yeah that's what I was thinking to I've heard of a payment blocker.
Really do hope and pray his conditions have been accepted and that work focussed appointment gets cancelled asap can't explain how much this has affected my partner to the extend of he's not even getting out of bed that's how badly its affecting him. He can't cope with all this and near can I tbh but my partner can't even talk to them on the phone.
Again thankyou so much

Those new commitments suggest that they have now received the information they needed from ESA. I would now expect the appointment to be cancelled completely.

I really do hope so I keep checking and the appointment is still there only change was changed from in person to phone.

I've just logged into my partners uc to check the commitments it has no required to look or apply for jobs, and also not required to do any work related activities, his appointment for the work focussed interview is still there so I'm not sure. I'll call tomorrow I'm hoping it's just a system issue not updated I don't know.

Then there's no need for that telephone appointment if their ID has been confirmed. It should be cancelled nearer the time.
Please be aware when ringing the helpline because they often give incorrect advice because they are not benefits advisors. They can really only do what you can do and put a message on your journal. You're better off just putting the message yourself and remind that that they have no work requirements so the appointment is no longer required.

I just want to say thankyou so much again for all the help and advise, you've all helped me hugely and I appreciate it so much so thankyou!
I completely agree with the calling up, tbh I never had any issues at all when wsd just a single claim, but since adding my partner on was just a nightmare. I've checked journal appointment has now been cancelled, just says cancelled and if they need any information they'll ask so I'm assuming that's it done now. Also a message that we applied for a hardship payment that's been declined not sure as we never applied for that so maybe a mistake quite strange. Huge relief and stress off as I think that should be it now.
The carers element not their but getting mixed opinions some say you can't apply for carers element if ones on lwrca which I am and get a payment for so not sure but for now I'm assuming that's it all done and sorted.
Like a person said all this stress anxiety so many geniune people who can't work for whatever reason, but mentally this will cause so much upset and stress for so many people. But again thankyou for all your help

You wouldn't qualify for a hardship payment, these are usually if you've been sanctioned and received less UC because of it.
For the carers element, yes the same person can't receive the LCWRA element at the same time. However, as you both have LCWRA then 1 person claims this and the other person claims carers element. This would mean you'll be receiving your maximum UC entitlement.
As your partners ESA Support Group has now been confirmed you will be able to claim carers element.

AH okay thankyou so much with the hardship payment we didn't apply for one so maybe a mistake.
Again I can't thank yous enough for all your help reassurance and advise. This has genuinely been such a horrible stressful time for us and yous have helped so much so truly thankyou! 🤍🙏
The appointment has now been cancelled and I'm now listed as a carer so that's changed. I just pray that no one else has to go through this, but sadly people will and I think it's horrible, to put genuinely unwell people physically and mentally through this. I get information takes time to get over, but same time you'd think until was over all these work appointments etc wouldn't be going ahead. Thankfully it worked out for us we didn't have to send a doctor note which I'm seeing happening to some people and some having to go to these appointments then gets cancelled. Thankfully for us is done but I feel so much for others that will go through this.
Again thankyou all so much. I went to citizens advice at the start I got wrong information from them and we were just stuck, this genuinely this forum and all the people on it have given amazing advise and also correct advise. I wouldn't have known to say certain things to uc without the advice I was given. Truly grateful and hopefully my experience can also help others and I can help others not from me but from the advise I was given.
God bless and again truly forever grateful thankyou ❤️

Oh sorry just a question I now get the carers element on uc for my partner. My partner is also on dla do I need to inform dla of this? Thankyou❤️

You're welcome! Glad to hear that it worked out in the end. You do not need to inform DLA that you're claiming carers element for looking after your partner.

Thankyou so much once again, just realised I could've responded back to a message.
Thankyou so much again, so glad the nightmare is over. 🤍

Just caught up on your messages and I'm disgusted at how you're being treated! It's like you're being treated like a criminal! I don't have much advise with WC and dwp as I don't know alot, but I do completely get the impact it has! And for shouting at you is completely unacceptable definitely put in a complaint! And mp like you said that might be your best bet, or I don't know if GPs do this but if you gave them a call and explain how this is having am impact maybe see if you can get a doctors note stating how this is impacting on your health and everything else you mentioned.
I'll be keeping you in my prayers and I really hope this will get sorted ASAP! Even the comment made to you some should be working and not I find that so wrong an inappropriate! So judgmental and it should never have been said to you, yes there are ones doing benefit fraud and can work just don't, but there's also so many geniune people and the geniune ones just get thrown in with the ones scamming the system. In an ideal world I'd love me and my partner to be working having that independence etc but that'd not the case for us. I'm so sorry how you're being treated wish I could offer advise but I don't know to much, All I do know is you shouldn't be treated like absolute dirt. There's going to be so many complaints to the dwp with all this moving over the amount of stress the WC do is unbelievable. It littetly says dwp like you said to give discretion but WC don't.. like a power trip. All I try to remember is there no better than me they also don't know you yet they get am opinion quickly.
Stand your ground like you're already doing and I really hope this ends soon, or maybe someone has practical advise regarding WC etc.
The last part got it 😂
Really praying for you and this is all just a bad nightmare that will end 🤍
