    Hi @poppy123456

    Thank you for the reply,

I have checked our last payment statement, I received two esa payments during the UC assesment period 25th Sept to 26th oct,

    First was £77.58 , second £181.00 total £258.58

    UC deducted £373.90

    The statement says...

    Other benefits

We take money off your payment

As this is an average of other benefits that you're continuing to claim

Employment and Support Allowance ‑ £373.90

I didn't check it when I received the statement poppy !!

The reason for the higher deduction is because ESA is a weekly benefit but UC is monthly and there's 4.3 weeks in a month, not 4 weeks.

    Hi @poppy123456,

Finally got the DWP letter today stating I had been placed in the support group for ESA.

It does state that I will remain on the assessment rate of £90.50 per week until the 27th December which is the date the 13 week assessment period should end. The support group rate of £138 will start from the 27th December.

I just wanted to check if that is correct ,or should the new support rate start straight away ? I appreciate I won't be any better off assessment it is deducted from UC. Also should this support group rate be back dated to when i first applied for ESA on the 27th Sept.

    Thank you
