Esa / lcwra

Hi i have been getting contributory or new style esa and 12 weeks into the assessment phase i wasn't entitled to universal credit as to much capital so had a zero reward statement last month but now i have informed them my circumstances have changed which will now make me eligible, i then received a note on my journal saying i have been awarded lcwra extra payment, so am i right in thinking i still get my fortnightly esa payments which are then deducted from my u/c entitlement but then thay add the lcwra extra payment?

Yes, that's correct.
UC will now pay LCWRA monthly.
ESA will continue being paid fortnightly.
UC will deduct the amount of ESA in full (the figures may seem not to match, but that's because UC is a monthly benefit and ESA weekly)

Thanks for clearing that up was getting a bit confused, i haven't been placed in the support group yet but assuming i will do as having cancer treatment , my assessment phase ends next week and as u.c have awarded lcwra would think thats going to happen, i was getting worried that i would be worse off as would loose esa and just get lcwra and be worse off, so can stop worrying now
