Hi, my name is deb1929! Is my PIP claim normal?
Hi I was wondering if someone could help me please I’m new to all this I made a pip claim 23rd September then I received a text message yesterday saying they have received written report and they’ll let me know a decision once they’ve made one called them they said I’d been given a paper based assessment after speaking to my specialist I was wondering if this was normal and any similar worries others have had and the outcome they got

Paper based assessments are possible if there’s enough of information to write the report without needing an assessment.
If you only rang to start your claim on 23rd Sept, then blimey that was very quick! I’m assuming you filled the PIP2 form in online, rather than the paper form?

pip2 form? I’m not sure what form it was they give me the option for the form too be sent in a link to my email and I filled it in from that, It’s because it was so quick it’s worried me that it’s a bad sign they just said after speaking to my specialist that they doing a paper based assessment thanks for the reply also sorry for the duplicate post I wasn’t sure what I was doing thanks again

I had a paper based assessment and ended up with high rate mobility and high rate care components for 10 years - they saw that I was not going to improve over the coming decade and agreed after my consultants reports without even seeing or hearing me !!
Hopefully, you will get the same.
