Pip reform
I know this is all speculation. With all the discussion on Pip reform can the government take people’s claim away before their review date or will these new changes affect new claimants only initially. How long is it likely to be before such changes come into law even if they means test the benefit?

I hope you are right night city. I am also very worried and anxious about the coming changes. Infact it's making me worry 24/7 😒

It says that bills that deal with money, don't go to the Lords. But we have allies there!

I have just read all you have said about the pip reforms and I am not quite so worried now but I'm still worried about what I Will do if we do have to have vouchers I'm worried sick about it all

I don't think the voucher/ catalogue/ receipt options will come about. They wouldn't save money and would increase costly beaurocracy. My fear is a means-test. Other people will have other fears.
@Nightcity is correct to say that changes will be slow to legislate and then implement. Not all DLA claimants how received their "invitation" to claim PIP. PIP can be replaced by something else entirely.Anything can be taken from us.
The big issue is when we will know. The focus of the White Paper getting people into work. It doesn't seem to relate to the most severe physical disabilities.

If they means test that means they would punish the sick and disabled for working and isn't that what they are aiming for? To get the disabled back to work?

You are quite right but if PIP recipients are low-waged they would still pass a means test unless they have a few savings. A means test would begger me.

The only thing I'm worried about is they may means test it but I honestly don't think this rediculous voucher scheme will get off the ground because it would be to complicated, costly and unworkable.
