Hi I've been on Income Related ESA due to several Health issues I'm going through i also have a Joint ESA Claim with my partner, I've been transferred for a while from Personal Independence to now Adult Disability Payment & my partner who I've been with for many years now claims Carers Allowance for me, I'm on different health conditions medication & on Anxiety & Mental health Medication I've just reviewed a DWP Compliance Letter Telephone Call & I've not got a clue what this means & I'm very worried about why I've received this Letter of Compliance Telephone call, I've changed address which has been all updated can someone please tell me do i need to be as i am worried sick due to receiving this? thanks so much for reading to anyone who can help me out with why I'm recieving this Phone Call compliance letter. It may just be a random check, which they do sometimes.

Thank your so much for answering me as I've not slept since getting the telephone call of Notice Of Appliance I've just lost my 2nd little brother also just 2 months ago & I'm going through so much between my health & having now no family from mum's side after my Mum's passing when i was 14 years old, my Dad's never had anything to do with me & was having an affair whilst i was at home nursing my mum before she died & on top of that I've only got 1 Auntie that's in my life who's got a Brain Tumor & id an OAP I've had no time to think straight or grief properly since losing my only 2nd brother that i had, i suffer from severe Anxiety & mental health & i can't walk even 50 yards without stopping to use 1 out of 2 Inhalers after losing a lot of weight over the past year & my health Detarating & now having no family members left, my anxiety hits me at the thought of leaving our House my partner's Disabled it's so worrying as I've never heard of this letter & don't know what questions they're going to ask it's next week my Telephone call compliance letter will be happening thanks so much for your reply I'm just worried sick & with everything I've been & still going through, you can't help but worry until you know why they're calling thanks so much again for answering me poppy123456

Hi @Angie1976, sorry to hear that you lost your little brother, it sounds like you're going through a lot at the moment so I can totally understand why this stressed you out so much.

These compliance checks are usually quite straightforward. They don't always mean that you've done anything wrong, they sometimes do them randomly just to check that everything about your claim is okay and that you're not going over the limits for savings.

They might ask you for some details about your claim and sometimes they'll ask to see some bank statements just to check that everything is okay. They should explain everything to you on the phone. It might feel stressful to talk to them about things, but hopefully it's all over nice and quickly.

Rosie_Scope i want to say thank you so much for your comment & for letting me know what you think it maybe about as I've never had a DWP Compliance Letter since i was claiming IR ESA it's a Joint claim with my partner, we moved in to a new Home around 2/3weeks ago now & i & my partner who's having to put in for a claim for ADP, we legally called the DWP to let them know we had moved & they updated our new address so yeah it's worrying getting any kind of DWP letter about our Benefits never mind the DWP Compliance Letter Telephone call that's happening next Tuesday it's just worrying as I've never heard of such a thing ie this kind of letter if it was anything serious wouldn't they say an Interview or have me going to have it in person instead of through a telephone call eh, anyway again thank you so very much it's truly appreciated 👍

Omg so sorry Vikki my space button & the tick that i press to send my comment thanking you so very much for your comment is right next to eachother so I've accidentally not just 1 time but 3 time's now i think I've pressed send by mistake before i even had finished my comment lol 😅 only me would do this, again thanks so very much for your comment, it's just worrying when you receive any DWP letter never mind this DWP Compliance Letter Phone call Interview as I've never heard of this nor have i heard anyone on here who's received this kind of letter but your right hopefully I'm worrying over nothing as i don't know how I'd cope if it's anything else that I've not got a clue about I'll keep you posed thanks again Vikki66 it's truly appreciated 👍
