What do you like best about....

The hilarious kiddies! They make an effort to dress up, they do all sorts of daft routines (last year some young boys knocked on the door, did a silly dance, sung a silly song, had a mock fight and then told me a joke I simply couldn't understand.) It is a bit of fun and all it costs me is a few sweets. Importantly, though, it brings the community together. These kids when they see me on the estate always say hello. My part of the estate does go overboard on Halloween. One man half buries a skeleton in his garden, another house puts up a sign saying "haunted house" and you can go in and look around, it is very atmospheric and makes it a nice place to live (the estate I mean, not the haunted house).
I would like to know if there is anything you dislike about Xmas, and why?

It's a time for me to stay in, because there are too many people about on weekends. So I like being inside, having done my food shopping, no need to go anywhere - chill.
Where is your favourite place to visit and why?

my favourite place to visit is a small lake in the next town up from me which is on top of the mountains because its always quiet, peaceful and has amazing views!

I like to escape. I especially like it when I'm sat in the cinema and I get so lost in the film that i forget that I am sat in the cinema. It's a nice escape from reality for a while.

That's a habit I unfortunately haven't been able to get out of for long, I always end up reverting back to the american spelling. Apologies.

No need to apologize for American spellings. I do it myself. And I do like visiting The Colonies….
I wondered what people DON'T like about Xmas.

I don't like the way people have been conditioned to feel they HAVE to buy presents for people when they have no money.

I think this thread has been taken in a different direction as to what it was meant to be…

I don't. Yuk
What do you like best about your favourite item of clothing?

I actually think it does matter, because if we let American English in too much it will become the norm and we will lose our British English. But that's just my opinion.

I'd say that we shouldn't focus on peoples spelling errors and focus on the message instead. We're a disability community after all, so people may have dyslexia etc. and they should feel safe to post without judgment.
This isn't a school, people will not be marked on spelling. 😉
