Hi can somebody tell me please if UC are allowed to look into your bank details before your claim started? i.e I have claimed 1 month but they are asking to look at 4 months of bank Statements.
Thanks in advance

Yes, these reviews are happening to lots of people, several members on here including myself have been through one.
The timing will be a coincidence, I was selected for a review after 18 months.

Hi @SurelySurely and welcome to the community.
I can't find information on if they can look at previous bank statements. Maybe put the question on your journal. Sorry I can't be more help than that.

Yes, they can. They do this sometimes to ensure claimants have not deprived themselves of capital in order to submit a claim.
