Recently ill health retired, what happens next?

Hi @Jojo184, welcome to the community π I hope you are doing okay today. I imagine it can be a bit nerve wracking going through the process of ill health retirement. I know we've had a few members who have gone through it before, I hope they will share their experiences.
In the mean time, we do have an advice section on ill health retirement, if you haven't already read it I would recommend checking it out: Stopping work and ill health | Disability charity Scope UK
I'm going to just move this over to our work category, as it should have more visibility there to people who have had such an experience before. π

Hi there
When I was granted early ill health retirement I was eventually granted my ill health retirement pension.
In the meantime I applied for benefefits which I successfully qualified for.
Have you been given any advice from your employer or a union representative on what the next steps going forward are for you?
Take care.

Hi,
Was this done with your permission (I did you ask for IHR) or was it forced on you ?
This makes a big difference to what your next step isβ¦β¦..
I have been subject to IHR, 4 times - twice from the same employer and once - forcibly - so I do know what I am talking about.

it would be helpful if you expanded on your question a little as it will give others a better opportunity to provide you with help and advice.
What is it that you wish to know?
Can I clarify if you were medically retired through the ill health retirement process or retired through capability or similar.
