UC and PIP LHA

Hi,
I am a little confused as to how LHA works for private rent and hoping someone could help explain. Im currently receiving PIP daily living and UC LCWRA. My local council shows that to get the one bedroom rate I need Severe Disability Premium. Is this only for housing benefit and is that seperate from UC? Will my housing element go through UC or through my council? Would I be entitled to the 1 bedroom rate no matter which council i lived under?.
Thanks in advance :)

I'm guessing you are under 35?
The rent would go through Universal Credit as Housing Element.
As you get PIP you would be eligible for the one bedroom rate no matter which council you live under. A

Hi,
Yes I am under 35. Thanks I've been at my wits end trying to figure this out. I assumed it applied only to housing benefit but I couldn't be certain. I appreciate you reaching out to help.
Thank you :)

Severe Disability Premium only applied to housing benefit and some other legacy benefits. It has nothing to do with bedroom entitlement.

Thanks! I did think that was the case but after googling it all became very confusing. They don't make it clear if they're talking about housing benefit or UC housing element a lot of the time. I appreciate your reply
