Hi, my name is Foxylady37! PIP. Is all these calls normal, especially the length of them?

Hi,
I am hoping someone can help to try and ease my worries. In march 2023 i had my pip assessment. In June 2023 i received the letter advising that they have not awarded PiP for reasons that I felt was unfair (I held a UK driving licence, Had no involvement with secondary mental health, despite a referral being made and lengthy waiting lists and worked full-time) scoring very low .
I had struggled for 2 an half years awaiting a diagnosis for ADHD and ASD Traits. Not long after getting the decision letter from the DWP I lost all hope of getting anything sorted. My anxiety and depression spirelled an I didn't bother applying again.
5th December 2023 I was seen by secondary mental health and was diagnosed with Borderline personality disorder. Working full-time with this condition, being Neurodiverse and having 3 children Neurodiverse I becoming too much.
12months later I decided to try again with the help of citizens advice.as I have more diagnosised conditions and evidence of my struggles.
On calling DWP I was advised that I am within the 13month period to ask for a mandatory reconsideration. So I did this aswel as a new claim form.
Citizen advice felt It was more appropriate to do a whole new claim form given the time period of the first form, he didn't think DWP would consider looking at my claim again as I had left it too long and DWP only accept in extreme circumstances.
No new evidence was provided for the Mandorty reconsideration. However on the 8th may 2024, I received a call from a decision maker who had advised that my application was very informative and she has now awarded me standard allowance of pip.
I explained about my new claim form as she advised to send this in still. Because I didn't send the form back by a set date a was offered an assessment appointment. This was cancelled because I already had an award of pip.
I had to them go back to citizens advice and fill in a change of circumstances form not send the new claim form I was advised to send. This for was also delayed in being sent back as I struggle to meet deadlines.
An letter was sent to me for another telephone assessment. I did this on 25/09/2024. That call was 2hours 20minutes long 😔.
The same assessor called me back again on 04/10/2024 asking some of the same question. Advising she had missing information. This call was 53mins long.
Today 16/10/24 she has called back again advising that the audit team want more clarification. she started with the question about my working day. How many hours per day. I explained then she went on to preparing food. Bare in mind two lengthy calls, I went on to tell her that she had called me twice already asking these questions and what was she actually putting down for the audit team to still need more info. She advised this was only her second call. But I couldn't get onto my call log to give her the above date. She said that her 2nd call wasn't showing. Soon after she said she would need to leave the call now and get her manger to call me instead.
This has really frustrated me and made me worry. I'm an over thinker so now I had the thoughts that they don't believe me and investigating me for fraud or something.
Is all these calls normal, especially the length of them and surely she should of captured all info they require by a 3hour call now in total
So sorry for the long essay wanted you to have a full picture of what's been going on.
Thank you 😊

Hi @Foxylady37 and welcome to the community. 😊
Thank you for the information, it's always helpful to have a full picture of the situation. So there's nothing to apologise for at all.
It sounds like your claim has been sent for audit, which is nothing to worry about at all, it just means things can take a little bit longer. They're basically making sure the assessors are doing their job properly.

It's frustrating yes. Though when a report is in audit the assessor has no control over that, at all. When they rang you they are only doing what was asked of them. Hopefully, the audit will be completed soon and the report returned.
