Hi there. Welcome.

Hi all I've just received my migration letter to UC -so I expect lots of stress until its sorted -I'm on ESA and I receive £90.50 living expenses-£81.50 severely disabled element-£20.85 disability income guarantee £47.70 limited capability for work addition-will my migration be straightforward?

As you are in the Support Group you'll be entitled to the LCWRA element from the start of your claim. When you claim your Income Related ESA will continue for 2 weeks and then stop. Same applies to housing benefit, if you claim that.
If any part of your ESA is contributions based, this will continue but be deducted in full from any UC entitlement.
Citizens advice have a help to claim helpline, you can contact them and they will help, support and guide you through the whole process.

Thanks poppy123456-will I have to give this info on my UC journal to explain my personal situation or will my details just pass from ESA to UC when I make my claim

No problem. They will not know you're in the Support Group when you claim. ESA will need to send your details across to them, which can take up to a couple of weeks.
Once you have access to your journal you should put a message on there to tell them you're in the Support Group. They will also very likely ask you to provide a fit note BUT this isn't needed, please do not provide that fit note.

And do I need to sign my agreement whilst I'm waiting to hear -or sign it when I get confirmation from UC that I've been awarded LCWRA ?

You will very likely be asked to agree to your commitments before they receive details from ESA. Once they receive the details you will need to sign new ones.

Do I need to notify on my UC application-or my journal-about my monthly PIP payment-£405.40

You can tell them that you claim PIP. I can’t remember if there’s a question about that when you fill in the application, it’s been a long time since I claimed.

So from the info I've posted would it seem to you that I'll be placed in the UC LCWRA and have no commitments once my Esa and Uc meet?
0 -
That is exactly right.

I need to stop reading all the horror stories on this forum then cos that's not gonna do my mental health any good -baring all this In mind that I'm gonna be placed in the LCWRA when all my info is collected and together-do I have to sign for my commitments in the waiting period beforehand

Hi MAURICE82
What "horror stories" are you referring to?
Unfortunately there is a lot of speculation at the moment and many people are naturally very anxious but people are really helpful and trying hard to support one another on the whole.

What horror stories are they? When migrating from ESA Support Group to UC you're entitled to the LCWRA element from the start of your claim. It can take a couple of weeks for ESA to send your details across and for your UC to update.
They don't always get the Transitional Protection calculated in time for your first payment, this happens often but they are usually quite quick at recalculating your statement. This isn't UC fault, it's the department paying your current benefits that don't send the figures across in time.
It should be a very straight forward process.

Hey, things can get a bit much sometimes. Sometimes it can be good to take a step back if things are upsetting you. If it's okay though I'd like to ask if it's the stories about speculation around benefits news or if it's about people discussing their experiences with the WCA?

Thanks luvpink-Poppy123456-Jimm Scope-I think that's what living with my problems for the best part of 30 years does to you-this forum is excellent for help -I've just gotta stop fishing for all the bad stuff -I've just made an appointment with my Doctor as I don't think I've slept properly since I received my migration letter-my mental health is taking a hit as well-I'm just trying to stay positive-but that's hard
