Mens Mental Health Month - November

November is Mens Mental Health Month.
I've just finished writing up an article for my local Mens Walking & Talking group.
Founded in 2021 (not by me)
It offers support to any man. Some routes are good for wheeling too, just ask.
There's also a weekly zoom for anyone to join.
I also, for my own wellbeing attend a Menoga (mens yoga) group, with a chat and cuppa afterwards.
So those are just 2 things I'm sharing for this years Mens Mental Health Month.

Thank you for sharing @JW77. I actually spotted my local area had started a men's walking and talking group recently, it sounds like a good, low pressure and low demand idea that could have real benefits for wellbeing and isolation.

That's good to know. They are more groups being created, almost weekly it seems around the country.
For me they are, an incentive to get out and 'be with people' even if I don't always do much talking. Or sometimes to listen as well as talk. As well as the exercise.
Usually our walks are a bit over a mile. And walking in the dark does have a certain something to it. A different kind of awareness I think.0 -
My local pub have a men's meeting where they can talk about health, mind and just have a general wind down and natter

There appear to be more mens support groups popping up now, one in particular appears to be getting quite big, but the name escapes me right now. I think it's so important for men to actually talk things through, we've been conditioned to be all stoic and not talk about our feelings and that's when the issues start.
