My covid booster is due tomorrow, I've just finished antibiotics, amoxicillin, does anyone know if I can still have my booster jab, can't get an up to date answer on Google. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi @sunwatcher37 - it's perfectly safe to get your covid booster, & would be so even if you were still on a course of antibiotics (unless you have a high fever). Please see:

    https://www.antibioticresearch.org.uk/it-is-safe-to-have-the-covid-19-vaccine-while-taking-antibiotics/

Please don't let's put members off from getting the Covid vaccine due to personal experience. It's still important to get your Covid booster if invited. They won't always stop you from getting Covid-19 but reduce the potential of becoming seriously ill/hospitalised.

Thank you chiarieds I've had all my covid jabs due to having copd, emphysema and asthma, plus being over 65 now. I was hoping it would be ok to have the booster but was a bit worried about only just finishing the amoxicillin. So I will be going for my booster tomorrow. Thanks very much

Hope Your booster goes well. I had mine and my flu one on Saturday. Didn't feel Covid one at all.

I know flu is different to a cold, but since having my flu jabs each year I have found my twice yearly colds aren't as intense.
