Providing he doesn't have capital of more than £16,000 he will be able to claim UC. Yes, carers allowance and UC can be claimed at the same time. The carers allowance will be deducted in full from any UC entitlement. Whether there's any entitlement will depend on his circumstances.
When he claimed UC did he report being your carer? If he didn't then he will need to make sure he does that. His UC will then include the carers element.
If he lives with you then he won't be able to claim help with any rent. He will be able to request an advance payment once his bank and himself have both been verified. Do be aware that the advance payment will need to be repaid back and future UC payments will be reduced until it's paid back.
Have you or your partner been through the work capability assessment for your UC?

You're welcome. The deduction for carers allowance with UC is £354.90/month.
He will continue to receive carers allowance separately. Carers element is £198.31/month. He will also be entitled to standard allowance, if a single person it is either £311.68/month if under 25 or £393.45 if 25 and over.
After that first appointment there will be no further appointments due to be a carer.

Hi thanks his appointment went well he now has a uc claim gt himself an advance also a query to your comment about carers element how will this be paid is it through his uc or does he have to claim this through carers sorry we are a little confused and will his carers allowance be deducted from his uc many thanks again

Carers element is paid in with UC because it’s part of UC.
Carers allowance will continue as normal but be deducted in full from his UC. The amount they deduct is £354.90/month this is because carers allowance is a weekly benefit and UC is monthly. There’s 4.3 weeks in a month, not 4 weeks.
