Scope Awards - Journalism
The Scope awards are approaching and I wanted to highlight a category I find incredibly important. Journalism has the chance to change the views of millions, through the writer’s work it is an essential role in changing minds and perspectives.
That is why Scope Awards have a specific category that recognises an individual journalist who has gone above and beyond in their profession. This can be online, in print or broadcast. They have either championed disability issues, or shown a strong commitment to disability equality.
Last years winner was Lottie Jackson, she has done amazing work in ending the stigma around disability within the fashion industry and beyond. You can visit her website and follow her amazing work.
Have you read an article this year that you thought championed disability issues? Or do you know a journalist who has continually shown a strong commitment to disability equality?
If so, nominate them to have a chance in this years Scope Awards!
