Some people in the support group will need to claim UC, while others will not. This depends on whether your ESA claim is income-related, contribution-based, New Style, or a combination of income-related and contribution-based.
Do you know what type of ESA you are claiming?

Do you get any other benefits like Housing Benefit? Or do you know how much your ESA is each fortnight?

will it say on there letter what I’m claiming as all I can see is esa

On your ESA letters it will just have information about your ESA. If your ESA is more than £138.20/ week … £276.40 fortnight then at least part of it is Income Related, which means you will be migrated to UC at some point.

ps I’ve been on the sick for a long time do to bad health I do get extra money for my ill ness so not sure which one keeps you off of uc

hi I get £481 every 2 weeks I don’t claim housing benefits

Then at least part of that is Income Related, which means you will be migrated to UC at some point. As your ESA includes the Severe disability Premium please do not claim UC until you receive the migration letter.
