LCWRA
Hey, not sure if this discussion is still active but I have a query about my payment date and if I get backpay. I was awarded LCWRA on the 28th Oct 2024, my WCA was on the 10th July 2024, I first handed in fit notes on the 21st July 2023, which lasted from 19th July to 3rd Aug 2023, I then didnt hand one in as I was told from IPES which helps me get employment that I do not need to hand anymore fit notes in aslong as I'm on that programme, and they stated that was fine on my journal. I then input a new fitnote on 7th March 2024, which lasted from 5th March to 5th June 2024, while this was expiring I had told them I needed more time, so they extended the deadline to the 8th, but I missed the deadline. I then input a new one on the 12th July which lasted from 5th July 2024 to 5th October 2024, bare in mind I am also claiming carers allowance by this point too which started in september, as well as Carers Element, so im not obliged to hand in notes anyway. My fit note was then due to expire on the 5th October 2024, I told them on the 3rd October 2024 im just waiting on my GP and they said okay thats fine, so I input a new one on 12th October 2024 which lasted from 7th October 2024 to 21st October 2024, I was then awarded LCWRA on the 28th October 2024. I'm just curious if I'm entitled to backpay and when my payments will start, or if I still need to wait 3 months as my fit notes are kinda all over the place so I'm a tad bit confused. My assessment periods are from 5th-4th, I get paid on the 11th of every month. Thanks

I believe when the Fit Notes haven't been continously provided, it's down to a Decision Maker as to when the three month waiting period applies.
