You’ve posted in the ESA section but as you’re also claiming carers allowance I’m assuming it’s Universal Credit you’re claiming?
If so what date do you usually receive your UC each month?
Carers allowance is just deducted in full from any UC entitlement and this will continue as normal.
I would expect your UC to also include carers element. The same person can’t receive both elements at the same time and in this case only the higher element is paid, which is LCWRA.
Does your UC also include Transitional Protection?

You didn't answer my other questions.
1/ Does your UC include carers element for yourself?
2/ Does your UC include Transitional Protection because you migrated from a different benefit?
3/ You said you receive your payments twice a month, what date do you usually receive your other payment?

Thank you. Regarding council tax. Your local Authority should have recalculated your entitlement based on your UC award. You will need to contact them.
Thank you for answering those questions. Unfortunately, it's not good news. You will lose the carers element because the same person can't receive both elements at the same time. In this case only the higher element is paid, which is the LCWRA.
Your TP will also erode due to the additional LCWRA element. You could potentially be worse off because of the removal of the carers element as well as the reduction in your Transitional Protection. LCWRA element is £416.19/month so if your TP is more than that then then it will erode completely.
There was an Upper Tribunal hearing regarding this on 30th October but I haven't heard what the outcome was of that yet.
Based on the information you gave your waiting period for the LCWRA element is Aug, Sept, Oct.. LCWRA starts from 1st Nov to 30th November and the element will be included from 7th December.

thank you it’s all so confusing 🫤 so no extra money because i can’t work xx I thought if I lose the carers element I would still be £200 per month better off x

I’m sure the tp was only for 3 months anyway

Your Universal Credit entitlement is not less than your previous benefits, so we have not added an extra payment. that’s what is says on my first statement in September xx

That means there's no TP included in your UC. This means you'll be better off by £217.88/month once the LCWRA element is included.
To answer this for others that maybe reading. TP isn't just for 3 months. It lasts for as long as it lasts. Some will have it for longer than others.
For those that migrated from Tax credits and have over £16,000 in capital will be entitled to UC for 12 months. After that if their capital is still over that amount their UC will end.
