Linking universal credit accounts
Hello, I am currently in receipt of universal credit and review carers allowance for caring for my dad and I live alone.
I have a partner but we both live separately, we are currently discussing him moving in with me now, he was made redundant nearly two years ago and is struggling to find work, his redundancy is nearly all spent.
My question is, I do a change of circumstances in my universal credit journal that my partner has moved in and it gives me a link for him to make a joint account with me will he be able to see everything in my universal credit account like journal entries, previous payments etc also after the accounts are linked together are you able to see everything on each others accounts going forward ?

Yes, you need to "report a change of circumstances" and click "living with a partner" and report it through there. You will be sent a linking code.
If your partner is already claiming UC then he needs to do the same and use that linking code. Both claims will then be linked. If they do not currently claim UC they will need to start a claim and use that linking code.
Any journal entries already made will be lost, this includes all your past statements so no one will be able to see any of those.
Going forward, I'm unsure if you can both see each other's journal entires.
