Hi wondering If anyone could help , I had my assessment for pip via telephone ( this is a review claim ) I have received my assessment report and scored 11 points for daily living and 10 for mobility , however I feel I was underscored on 1 certain descriptor
Is it best to point this out now to the DM ( if this is even possible)
OOr would I have to wait for the DM letter then submit a mr ?

Whether it's possible to score what you think you should have scored will depend on how your conditions affect you. Before doing anything else you should get some expert advice because there's no point going further if no extra points can be scored.
Or you can have a read of this and hopefully it will give you a better understanding of the descriptors and what they mean.
You can contact PIP before the decision is made and ask if a decision maker can ring you before making a decision. They may, or may not ring you.
It's also worth remembering that the assessment report is a recommendation only. Though they mostly go with the report, it has been known for them to go against it.

Hi thanks poppy for sending over that information I did read through it , I definitely feel I was underscored for example budgeting decisions I only scored 2 points when I have nothing to do with budgeting decisions this is dealt with by my mum and dad
Also I have to have social support when going anywhere, gp appointments mental health appointments the assessor has given me the box above social support
If the dm does manage to call me how do I go about it what would be best to word it as am no good at anything like that

Hey @danxxx, you may want to begin preparing yourself to consider a Mandatory Reconsideration. It is possible the decision maker awards you more points than the assessment suggests, but I don't think it would hurt to start thinking what you will put into a Mandatory Reconsideration letter. It is best to do it by letter than over the phone, so you know exactly what is being shown to the decision maker.
In your PIP form, did you give any examples of what has happened when you have tried to budget yourself? Or what would likely happen if you tried to budget yourself, and what that would do to your day to day living? That can sometimes be good for getting across that you really meet those descriptors. I understand, I have my partner handle most of my own finances because I've historically been quite bad with my own finances. I just gave examples of the issues I got into in the past because of it. Owing money, overdraft fees etc.

Hi I rang them up and spoke with a DM and advised were and why I was underscored she said she has made a note but then said that's only a recommendation, which I do know that but 9/10 they tend to go with the hp , although i have read here sometimes they can go against it , it's been a month today anyway since my assesment is the time frame up to 6 weeks or 8 for a decision ? Once they have the report for a review

Up to 12 weeks for a decision once the report was returned.
