Migrating over please help ðŸ˜
Hi, me and my partner was on esa support group. It was his claim. But we are both poorly so we was getting sdp payment. We've migrated over they're telling me to claim lcwra and have sent me a form out, and now they're telling my partner he's got to claim new style esa. We don't understand this. Will we now lose out transistional protection? Will we be worse off? Is it 2 different payments? Have uc got it wrong? Please advise me ðŸ˜

This means that part of his ESA was contributions based, which isn't part of UC. He doesn't need to claim it because it will automatically revert to it. He will need to agree to claimant commitments which will just be to agree to report any changes. His ESA payments will be £276.40/fortnight.
The ESA will be deducted in full from any UC entitlement and the amount they deduct will be £598.86/month. You will not be worse off because of the deduction so please don't worry about that.
It will not affect your Transitional Protection.
