ESA to UC migration to end in 2026

hi all, I read somewhere that the migration from ESA to UC will now end at the end of 2026 and not as we thought 2025. Can someone confirm this?

The timetable is anytime from now to December 2025 for people to receive their migration letter. Therefore, yes everyone should have migrated by March 2026 if they receive their letter end of Dec 2025.
Of course whether they achieve this is another matter because there are still people still claiming the old Incapacity benefit.

Hi @Faithlong, the end time for ESA to UC migration was actually 2028 (it was originally 2024, but pushed back by the previous government), but it has been moved up to 2026 now. So those on ESA should be receiving letters in the timetable Poppy has mentioned above.
