    Hey @griff62, I know you already got a response but I split this off from the other conversation so there is less confusion and incase you have further questions 🙂

    My assessment was also about an hour by the way!

    hi Luvpink. Thank you. Not looking forward to it. I’ve got COPD & I cough a lot. Just hope whoever it is has a bit of patience. 😊

    hi folks. Hope everyone is well. Just had my pip assessment. Not sure how it went, it lasted about 40 minutes. Is that good or not so good.? I was quite nervous & I think I gave a different answer to the one on my form. Hope that won’t go against me. 😢

    Well done on getting through the .assessment.

    40 minutes is about the average time but it can be longer or shorter depending on what they want to ask you.

    Try not to worry about the asnwers you gave as they are used to people being nervous at .assessments.

    Best of luck.

    @griff62 I echo what @luvpink says.

    Remember they are scoring you for each answer (looking to award points if possible), rather than trying to catch you out. I got a text saying I had been awarded on the same day as my assessment, so hopefully you won't have long to wait now. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

    Aww thank you. I feel better now. I tend to botch things when I’m feeling nervous. X

    Tbh I thought that they were looking for a reason to down score people. Seeing as they work for the dwp. 😊

    My assessor was lovely. When she asked about whether I could manage my meds, I said yes - no problem. She then asked if I used an aid, so I told her I use my tweezers to open the blister packs and she gave me a point for that. I didn't think I would get any for that activity.

    She even advised that I get an occupational therapist round to assess and improve my living conditions - I didn't even know that was a thing. She also had mobility issues and was waiting for a hip replacement, so maybe I just got lucky!
