Have they asked for 4 months of bank statements? If so then this will be a normal review of your claim to make sure it's correct. As you went abroad, providing you didn't go out of the country for more than 1 month then it will be fine. If it was more than 1 month then you wouldn't have been entitled to any UC after that month. The day you go and the day you come home are not counted in that month.

You will need to make sure you send what they've asked for. If you don't your UC could stop. They will check the statements that you send, as well as the plane tickets, likely to see how long you were out of the country for.

Do you mean where you live? Are you now back in the UK or still abroad?

They will check them. Why has your claim closed?

Because I was away 2 days and I didn't told them, they saw it at the airport and then they ask me for proof of coming back and I gave them one

Your claim shouldn't have closed after 2 days abroad, unless you closed it yourself.

They suspended not closed because I went abroad and they checked me at the airport as i came with another transport so they didn't see a way back a the airport

Hmm you're allowed out of the country for up to 1 month, that's the law. Your claim should not have been suspended because you went for 2 days. Are you saying that DWP actually checked you at the airport? This all sounds rather strange.

They don't usually check you're going abroad. Did you tell them you were going and they now just want to check you're home?

Is this a normal review that millions of people are having? they usually ask for a photo of you holding your passport outside your home. They also ask for 4 months of bank statements.

No I didn t told them anything.Even so they have no right to check anything whithout my aproval plus im on LWCRA they shouldn t even consider checking ,is like James Bond ****,I think it s very stupid to be checked in the airport

The passport thing is a standard request for a compliance check. I had to do it myself.

Millions of them are being undertaken by UC to make sure the payments people are getting are correct.

It doesn't matter if you have LCWRA, or are incapable of managing your own claim and have an apoointee, you still can be selected for a check.

Hi @Marius41 as others have said, asking for that kind of information is normal for a compliance check, I've had to do one myself in the past and legally they're within their rights to ask and check. They do like to be informed if you go overseas for any length of time though.

Can I just check you're definitely back in the UK now?

I am back in the UK now,I have no problems with checking, they can do that and they can also ask for eivdence which I provide,my question still is,do they check the evidence I gave them whithout my aproval?like bank statement or tenacy agreement?

Ok @Marius41 thanks. They will be able to tell if you're overseas or not through various means, but as long as you're honest with them, there'll be no issues. 😊

To answer your question, yes they will check evidence you provide. They won't need permission to check.
