I am thinking of giving up my caring role, I am in receipt of UC which includes my carers element and disability premiums, does every think stop on the day I cancel my carers alkowance thanx in advance

UC doesn't include disability premiums because they are not payable with this. Do you mean your UC includes Transitional Protection?

Your UC entitlement is based on your circumstances on the last day of your assessment period so if you cancel before the last day then you'll receive no further carers element payments. You will then be treated as a job seeker unless you've been through the work capability assessment and been found to have Limited capability for work.

Carers allowance is a separate benefit and you'll need to ring them to cancel the claim. You're not claiming any disability premiums. It's Transitional Protection you receive and this won't be affected.
