I know EXACTLY how you feel. Don't hate the way you are, accept it, you can't change it. You feel out of control of your own life and resent it - nothing wrong with that. I am the same with guests and visitors. Personally, I would pretend to go down with flu (highly contagious) and insist you need to retire to bed and be left alone to suffer in peace. It's the best way to spare your feelings and your guests. Good luck 👍

Do not feel bad your space has been invaded. How long had your friend planned on staying for?
Can you talk to your friend about how your feel?
Take care @Catherine21

Hello @Catherine21
If they're a friend, they should understand if you need a bit of time to yourself. Maybe you could explain that you're feeling a bit overwhelmed and ask if they'd be happy to entertain themselves for an hour or so while you have some time to relax in your bedroom.
How long are they visiting for?
