After thoughts about pip assessment

I'm thinking about my telephone pip assessment and what was asked and what I forgot to add.For example I mentioned that I do use the bus although rarely as I don't often leave the house ( maybe once a week at most).Should I have mentioned that I have a disabled freedom pass?.She asked why I take so long in the bathroom I.e 45mins and my reply was "doesn't everyone take this long?".I told her the truth that I've been ordering groceries online a few times a week because I've got osteoarthritis and been finding it hard with my shopping trolley.I went through my other illnesses too and upcoming appointments for a new diagnosis.wouldnt they already gave this from.gp surely?

They very rarely contact gp's so the chances are they wouldn't have already had that info'.

It seems ridiculous that they wouldn't contact a GP as I've got so much medical history to back up my claim and not just my word

Not really because they expect you to supply the evidence.
Its always been that way.
They only contact GP's in rare circumstances.

Hello @Jane315STARX. This is a common misconception about PIP. Medical evidence isn't always helpful, as it often only confirms a diagnosis without providing further details. Your GP is not present when you cook, bathe, or go out, so while they can confirm your diagnosis, they may not be able to explain how the condition(s) affects you specifically in relation to the PIP descriptors. Two people with the same condition(s) may experience different levels of impact and require different types of support.

Oh I see.It was very depth. My conditions all vary and fir example don't effect me necessarily every single day consistently however can do for a whole month at a time sometimes months.I sounded like a liar saying I don't leave the house at all for a week ( but I dont). Then the more I spoke I realised how awful my life is.Anyway I'm going off subject. Thanks for answering
