hello people - How I renew my blue badge without letter from PIP?
have been looking at categories that are relevant to my issues and have many answers to my problems from there, thankyou all. Want to know how I renew my blue badge without a confirmation letter for continued pip, doI re apply once my review is completed and confirmation letter is available?

When does your PIP award end? For myself my BB was due to expire in June 2024 and was waiting for a PIP review decision. My PIP award was due to end the same date as my PIP award.
If no decision is made on your review around 35 days before the award is due to end, DWP send out a letter to you to tell you your award has been extended for up to 1 year. I received this exact letter in June.
I then used that letter as well as my original PIP award letter with details of where I scored the points for the mobility award and renewed my BB. The only issue you may have with this is your BB maybe short dated and you'll need to renew sooner.
My local Authority were very kind and even though my PIP was only extended for up to a year they gave me the BB for 3 years. I've now had my PIP decision but waited almost a year for that.
Or you can apply for the BB without a PIP award but you'll likely need an assessment for this.

thanks for reply, sent review docs in june award runs out 24th Jan 25, same date as BB. Not heard anything yet but from what I gleaned here its a waiting game. Hope our council is as understanding if we get an extension. Good site, used to use it for work long ago but totally forgot until saw it mentioned in a mail shot, thank you.
