No carers element when on Lwrca as a single carer

I think it's a shame that as a disabled single carer you cannot claim the carers element/allowance ( not sure what it is actually called). But if you had a partner one of you can claim. As my child constantly breaks things and although I get his dla.By the time I've now got this new u.c my income is down and struggling so much.

Yes I am now on 2nd month of u.c I've got standard allowance.Lwrca tp disabled child rent allowance etc and basically I'm still alot down.I am having to pay £20 extra towards my rent each week too.I have 1 extra bedroom.I have to pay overpayments too of tax credits. You cannot argue with them because they don't give give you a breakdown of anything.

I'm just on hold now to my landlord as nothing makes any sense. The Tp is £71 it's all so complicated especially when I'm feeling so ill and have a child to look after

Would you benefit from local welfare advice, to help you understand your payment and help spot if something is wrong?

I spoke to my landlord who basically said U.c pay differently to how housing benefit used to pay.So they 4 weekly.Never the less without going into private details there is a loss so I will take a look at the above as Citizens advice have totally worked everything out all completely incorrectly
