It's Play Monopoly Day!

Top hat? Thimble? Iron? Which playing piece do you always choose? I like the iron as I can pretend I'm ironing the board as I go round 😂

There are over 300 versions of Monopoly. Here are some interesting ones I found:

The Cats version has a board full of all the different places a cat likes to sleep and the money has cute cat faces on! I feel like this would be quite popular with the online community team and probably many of you too. Who can resist those cute faces?

The classic sitcom, Only Fools and Horses has its own monopoly board, because, why not!? It takes you through classic episodes and you can choose a medallion or the infamous Reliant Regal. Cushty!

Not everyone can be the winner right? This version rewards you for being sent to jail and paying rent and taxes! I'm sure none of you are sore losers though 😉

There were so many to choose from that I couldn't list them all. Do you own any obscure Monopoly games? I have a Coronation Street edition that I bought from Granada Studios many years ago!

I'm all about the Star Wars Monopoly. Not that I've played in years though. We've swapped xmas Monopoly for Xmas Exploding Kittens and similar games.

I think if I were to choose my own theme, I'd love a Tim Burton one. Nightmare before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, Frankenweenie, and Beetlejuice…all the weird and wonderful films he's made. The playing pieces could be scissors, a Jack Skellington head, and Beetlejuice himself!

I've always loved Monopoly & I play the free Monopoly Go every day, the only thing I actually do on my phone, as I only use it for calls & Whatsapp. In fact, just about to open it up after posting this. Worth a look if you do like the game. You get pop ups to buy dice & whatever but you don't have to, as you get a few free dice every hour, plus you win them. There are absolutely loads of boards you work through with different side games & things. You can add friends or not & you don't even have to log on, they give you a name if you don't. I'm SpiffyPlane56…I didn't say they were good names! 😉

Ooh I'll have to check that out @JessieJ! I have Monopoly Deal which is a card game version that's really fun and when you don't want to dedicate hours to a proper game of monopoly.

Definitely check it out, @Rachel_Scope, it is very good & the graphics are cute. Don't forget, you don't need to sign up or pay for anything, just enjoy a good timewasting.
