Hi, my pip was due for review September 2024 but got an extension until 2025 as it was not yet complete, this morning I got a txt saying my pip is now complete and will get a decision letter in 2 weeks, I have not had an assessment so really worried now has anyone else had this happen? The txt also says not to call then as they can't tell me anything until I receive the letter, as someone who is a constant worrier anyway this is really upsetting as this was my first review, any info appreciated thank you

Did you send a review form? If you didn't fill in a form, and haven't had any telephone contact with them, then this message may have been sent in error.

You can call them to ask if you like. The letter just says that to try and keep the number of calls down in order to keep the waiting time down for the more urgent calls. But in this case it may be worth calling to check whether was an error.

Yes I sent my review form back in march this year and got a txt saying they had received it then a couple more txts saying they still had it and will be dealt with as soon as they could, then in September this year I got a letter saying it had been extended until September 2025 to give them time to complete it, then this morning a txt saying its now complete and my decision letter will arrive in 2 weeks so I'm worrying now as I haven't had an assessment, I may try to call in the morning as I've wound myself up too much today and won't be able to hold a conversation at the moment

You have had the assessment. It was done 'paper based' using the information you wrote on the review form. 🙂

You did have an assessment, known as a paper based assessment.

This is when the assessor feels they have enough information to make a decision, without doing a full face to face or telephone appointment.

They are rare but do happen, I had one (mine did involve a brief telephone call) this year for a new claim.
