Hi so my pip review has been extended until november 2025 but I have a problem I approached a dealership over the weekend to get a motability car through my high pip award to be told that I have less than 12 months left on my award is there anything I can do to get my motability application accepted whilst I'm awaiting my reward review.

    Hi,

Do you already have a Motability car that you're replacing? If so, they have dropped the '12 months' requirement for that scenario.

Unfortunately it is still not possible to make the first Motability application with less than 12 months left. It's a shame you were just too late in this case but you will have to wait until you get the PIP decision now.

Hi @lkramirez, welcome to the community 😊 It is unfortunately taking a very long time for reviews just now. There is also no way around the minimum requirement of 12 months of award for motability if you do not already have the motability car.

The only thing I can think of is if there has been a change in how your conditions affect you since you were initially awarded you could put in a change of circumstances and request a new assessment, this could potentially have them deal with your review with more urgency. I would only do so if there has been some change though.
