HI iI put in for pip a great months back, welfare rights worker helped me fill in original form over phone, she took notes of what I was saying then filled form by typing up on computer and sent it to me to send off with blank original form, which I did, I was refused pip but I done a mandatory reconsideration over fone as she did not put in anything I said correctly. When I done the mandatory reconsideration on phone, I was very anxious and couldn't explain how I felt on a day to day basis, if I don't get it this time do I put in again, has its going to be beneficial to me, as my anxiety causes me severe embarrassing problems I can't get on public transport without someone with me, as I feel people looking at me, when I go to Drs which is rarely I struggle to explain how I feel with depression apart from I don't have motivation I have to be told to shower and I don't cook my neighbors bring food to me now and then,I have someone take me and wait while in Drs. I have weak bladder and wet my self which is very upsetting,

I sometimes with my copd have to stop as walking and dit with who is with me and have to be told about my inhaler as I forget in the panic, I have no quality of life being stuck in house just being checked on by neighbors, this is just a "brief " of what should of been "some"of the things wrote on my form .

Hi @Sammie_d, welcome to the community. Just so you know, I've removed some of your personal information to keep you safe, I hope that's okay with you 😊

Sorry to hear you've not had the result you need from PIP yet. If you've already done a mandatory reconsideration, the next step would be asking to go to tribunal. During a tribunal your case will be looked at again by a judge. They will ask you a few more questions about your conditions and will have another look at your case to see if the decision needs changing. Many people find that they get a better result from their tribunal, so it's well worth trying if you feel up to it.

There's some information about benefits appeals on the Scope website here:

If you have any questions about it please feel free to ask, lots of our members will have been through similar situations so you're not alone in what you're going through 😊
