Hi, my name is denwort! What help can I get in addition to attendance allowance please?

I have Ideopathetic Pulmonary fibrosis with an estimated 40% chance of living another year. I am 79 years old, with a state pension and small private pension which precludes me from normal benefits and winter fuel allowance. What help can I get in addition to attendance allowance please

If you get attendance allowance it's worth applying for Pension Credit, as being in receipt of AA means your income cut off point is higher.

Hey @denwort and welcome to the community.
As Kimmy has suggested, the calculator is a good place to start. There's also the Scope Disability energy support service who may be useful to you?0 -
AA doesn't in itself automatically increase entitlement to Pension Credit. If you live alone or treated as living alone and no one is claiming either carers allowance or carers element of Universal Credit for looking after you then Severe disability Premium would be included in the calculation.
If you live with a partner that's under state pension age then you will not be entitled to PC. It would need to be Universal Credit you will need to claim. Both of your pensions would be deducted in full.

agree with this. I am on attendance allowance at highest rate. I applied and didn’t get it. What is it you specifically need money for as we might be able to better signpost you. I think you’ve had it with getting more benefits.
